Alyse Williamson

Alyse holds degrees in Psychology and Education, along with a Master's in Education. In her role with the Department of Education, she has served as a classroom teacher, an Autism key teacher for the Geraldton Lighthouse Model, and a Deputy Principal, where she managed the Special Educational Needs portfolio.
Alyse has facilitated professional development in Autism and has trained educators who work closely with autistic children and young people. She has developed intervention strategies to address complex behaviours and is adept at observing and collecting data on student behaviours, which informs behaviour plans, risk management strategies, and interventions. Coming with a wealth of experience and knowledge, Alyse offers guidance and support to staff, families, and students with diverse learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Specific Learning Disorders.
Recently, Alyse completed a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies from Griffith University, enhancing her understanding of contemporary autism theories and practices. These further studies have enabled her to design and implement individualised programs for those with autism, ensuring they are goal-oriented and tailored to meet specific needs. Alyse brings a one-of-a-kind skill set that will provide a valuable service to the Geraldton community. We are excited to welcome Alyse to our In 3 Minds team!
​Our Autism Consultant, Alyse Williamson, is uniquely positioned in the Geraldton region to provide personalised support and guidance to individuals, families, and organisations working with autistic children. As part of her role at In 3 Minds, Alyse will offer customised strategies to help navigate challenges in communication, behaviour, social skills, and sensory sensitivities. She will also be available to provide tailored support to educators, therapists, parents, and caregivers. Alyse's services include creating personalised plans, training staff, and ensuring that environments are both inclusive and supportive. Her consultations will be focused on achieving specific goals that promote independence and build capacity, advocating for individual needs, and fostering positive outcomes for those with autism.

Cool Kids Anxiety Program
An evidence-based cognitive behavioural skills approach program supports children and their family to help them better understand and manage anxiety.
​
This 10 session program is suitable for both neurotypical and neurodivergent children aged between 7 and 17 years.
